Get the Look: Part 4 - Leatherworking

The promised Transmogrification process in patch 4.3 has everyone excited about the prospect of being able to change the way their gear looks. I've put together a few posts exploring some possibilities of old-school leather sets.

1. The twelve Druid tier sets and their recoloured look-alike sets.
2. Other leather dungeon and raid sets.
3. PvP sets.
4. Crafted by leatherworkers.
5. Uncommon (green) sets.

I've listed a few of the leatherworker-crafted sets, but also for each slot I've picked out a few of what, in my opinion, are the nice- or interesting-looking pieces. Almost all crafted pieces are Bind on Equip so you can pick them up from the auction house or have someone craft them for you.

Sets

Dark Leather
Guardian
Wild Leather
Big Voodoo
Runic Leather
Darkbrand Set

Enchanted Clefthoof Set

Heavy Clefthoof Set

Primalstrike
Note: Primalstrike Belt doesn't match the Vest and Bracers.

Random Bits and Pieces

Shoulders
Most of the nicer-looking shoulders are part of a set, but the Trollwoven Spaulders are a nice stand-alone piece, if you like a tusky look.

Most of the LW gloves are quite unremarkable, except for these Firelands sets.

Get the Look: Part 3 - PvP Sets

The promised Transmogrification process in patch 4.3 has everyone excited about the prospect of being able to change the way their gear looks. I've put together a few posts exploring some possibilities of old-school leather sets.

1. The twelve Druid tier sets and their recoloured look-alike sets.
2. Other leather dungeon and raid sets.
3. PvP sets.
4. Crafted by Leatherworkers.
5. Uncommon (green) sets.

This instalment of the Get the Look series covers PvP sets currently available from vendors with either gold or Honor Points. I haven't included crafted PvP gear (yet), or that requiring Conquest Points. I also haven't included the many weapons that are available for Honor Points simply because there are so many of them. Some of them look quite awesome so I suggest heading to your weapons vendor and trying them on for size.

The non-Outland gear is available from vendors in Orgrimmar's Hall of Legends, or in Stormwind's Champion's Hall.

The level 60 sets are different for Horde and Alliance, but the other sets are the same to both factions.

Horde Level 60 rare: Champion's Refuge

Horde Level 60 epic: Warlord's Sanctuary

Alliance Level 60 epic: Field Marshal's Sanctuary

Level 70 rare: Kodohide Battlegear (Horde and Alliance)

The Kodohide set looks the same as the Dragonhide and Wyrmhide Battlegear sets. All are available for gold from Outland quartermasters once you have Honored reputation.

Level 70 epic: Brutal Gladiator's Refuge

Level 85: Season 10 set - Vicious Gladiator's Refuge (item level 371)

Get the Look: Part 2 - Other Leather Sets

The promised Transmogrification process in patch 4.3 has everyone excited about the prospect of being able to change the way their gear looks. I've put together a few posts exploring some possibilities with old-school leather gear sets.

1. The twelve Druid tier sets and their recoloured look-alike sets.
2. Other leather dungeon and raid sets.
3. PvP sets.
4. Crafted by Leatherworkers.
5. Uncommon (green) sets.

Since we're allowed going to be allowed to transmogrify to any leather gear (that's the current plan, anyway), in this post I'm going to list recolourings of Rogue tier and dungeon sets, plus a few other leather sets that are available.

These recoloured sets, as well as for many for other classes, are listed on the Set look alikes page on Wowpedia.

Oh and there's so much more... stay tuned!

Wildheart and Feralheart Raiments

The Druid dungeon 1 and 2 sets are no longer available in-game, but this recoloured set is available from Burning Crusade dungeons.

Dungeon set 3 for Feral Druids and Rogues.

Shadowcraft Armor

A re-colouration of the Rogue dungeon 1 set.

Nightslayer Armor

Rogue Tier 1 look-alike set.

Bloodfang Armor

Rogue Tier 2 look-alike sets.

Blue set:

Get the Look: Part 1 - Tiers

The promised Transmogrification process in patch 4.3 has everyone excited about the prospect of being able to change the way their gear looks. I've been wondering what old-school leather gear there was available out there, so I've put together a few posts exploring some possibilities.

1. The thirteen Druid tier sets and their recoloured look-alike sets.
2. Other leather dungeon and raid sets.
3. PvP sets.
4. Crafted by Leatherworkers.
5. Uncommon (green) sets.

First up, the twelve thirteen existing Tiers of Class Set Items. Since all we're after is the armour model, I've included a few alternative items that use the same model and may be easier to obtain if you can't rustle up an old-school raid group.

There were Tier 1 and 2 look-alike sets available in Burning Crusade dungeons. I've added each recoloured item where applicable under each of the tier items.

Edit 21/8: I've added the look-alike sets for Tier 1. Thanks to Suicidal Zebra for linking the very useful article on look-alikes!

Edit 27/01/2012: Added tier 13, plus new images showing tier gear for all Druid races, Tauren, Night Elf, Troll and Worgen (work in progress).

In following posts, I'll have a look at some other leather items to see what our options will be for Transmogrifying so we can get collecting!

Tier 1 - Cenarion Raiment - Molten Core

Tier 2 - Stormrage Raiment - Onyxia, Blackwing Lair and Molten Core

Tier 3 - Dreamwalker Raiment

No longer available in-game, but was reintroduced as Tier 7 - Dreamwalker Garb.

Tier 4 - Malorne Raiment - Karazhan, Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon's Lair

Tier 5 - Nordrassil Raiment - Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep

Tier 6 - Thunderheart Raiment - Battle of Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, Sunwell Plateau

Tier 7 - Heroes' Dreamwalker Garb and Valorous Dreamwalker Garb - Naxxramas

The Heroes' set is from 10-man raid and Valorous is from the 25-man raid.

Tier 8 - Valorous Nightsong Regalia and Conqueror's Nightsong Regalia - Ulduar

The Valorous set tokens are from 10-man Ulduar and the Conqueror's are from 25-man.

Tier 9 - Conqueror's Runetotem's Garb and Triumphant Runetotem's Garb (Horde)
Conqueror's Malfurion's Garb and Triumphant Malfurion's Garb (Alliance)

Conquest items can be purchased with Justice Points in Dalaran or at the Argent Tournament in Icecrown, then upgraded to Triumph pieces using Trophy of the Crusade, which drop from the Trial of the Crusader. The Triumph items look the same as the Conquest ones.

Tier 10 - Lasherweave Garb

Lasherweave items can be purchased with Justice Points then upgraded to Sanctified Lasherweave gear using Vanquisher's Mark of Sanctification from certain bosses in Icecrown Citadel. The Sanctified gear looks the same as the basic Lasherweave gear.

Tier 11 - Stormriders Vestments - Blackwing Descent, Throne of the Four Winds and Baradin Hold

Tier 12 - Obsidian Arborweave Vestments - Firelands or Baradin Hold

Tier 13 - Deep Earth Vestments - Dragon Soul

There are three levels of Tier 13 gear. Level 384 tokens drop from bosses in Looking for Raid Dragon Soul, level 397 tokens drop from normal Dragon Soul bosses, and level 410 is from heroic bosses. None of the tier 13 gear is available with points. The bosses listed are for normal and heroic difficulties - all bosses except Deathwing have a chance of dropping any tokens in LFR difficulty.
