IntPiPoMo: /faceplant

This post is part of IntPiPoMo.

Durn the Hungerer. He can be pretty sneaky for a tall fellow. Not quite as sneaky as this dude though.

Damn you Fel Reaver!  Even while chasing him around to get this shot, the sound he makes was giving me the screaming heebie-jeebies.

IntPiPoMo: Forest's Edge

This post is part of IntPiPoMo.

The Southfury River runs between Ashenvale Forest and Azshara. To the west comes faint sounds of battle from Warsong Gulch. To the east, metallic scraping and the occasional explosion means that the Goblins are still at it, reaping the resources from what was once a quiet and peaceful area.

I really miss the old Azshara...

IntPiPoMo: The Dark Tower

This post is part of IntPiPoMo.

Karazhan, Medivh's tower. The original 10-man raid and a favourite of many players, Kara is a beautiful and detailed instance. It was my introduction to raiding and even now the music evokes memories both happy and frustrating.

You can see pictures of what lies below the tower at Syrco Owl. Chilling stuff.

In some ways it would be awesome to see it as a max-level instance of some sort once more, but not at the cost of destroying the way it has always been. Perhaps the haunted tower should remain secluded and empty but for its ghostly inhabitants.

IntPiPoMo: Serpentshrine Cavern

This post is part of IntPiPoMo, where I post pictures each day during November. You're welcome to join in!

Serpentshrine Cavern - a steady drip, drip, a splash somewhere nearby. There's a fishy stench to the steamy air. Tread carefully - this is Lady Vashj's realm.

IntPiPoMo: The Challenge

The snowy mountains in the north of Howling Fjord.

This IntPiPoMo business took on an interesting twist today after this comment on Twitter:

If a picture is worth one thousand words, and the NaNoWriMo word target is fifty thousand, should the IntPiPoMo target be... fifty pictures?

That's right, fifty pictures in thirty days. It's on.

Please, join me! It doesn't matter what the pictures are of. All that matters is that you take a look at the world around you and share what you see, whichever world you are in.

Joining in so far:

Here, take a button to put on your site, keep score of your total, and let me know that you're taking part and I'll put a list up! I've edited the original post to explain the new challenge.

I'll also happily take guest images to post if you don't want to join in the whole IntPiPoMo deal, so please email me!

IntPiPoMo: Homely

This post is part of IntPiPoMo, where I post a screenshot each day during November. It's not too late to join in if you wish!

In a tiny cottage above Northshire and east of Stormwind City lives a gnome called Agee Tyler. He has a flock of sheep outside, but one of them carries a secret...

This post is also doubling up for the Through Your Interface challenge as my Day 8: Vacation Spot.  Who wouldn't want to spend a few days relaxing by the fire or enjoying the view in such a beautiful place? There's also a campsite at the bottom of the waterfall if you'd rather not cuddle up with the sheep.

IntPiPoMo

Edit: This is the landing page for IntPiPoMo 2011. If you're looking for IntPiPoMo 2012 details, try this page instead! Thanks!

It's that time of year again. The blogosphere has gone eerily quiet (except for Rades of course) as writers everywhere sharpen their... fingernails (?) and get down to the business of National Novel Writing Month, usually known as NaNoWriMo.

I would have loved to have taken part this year, but with my little one to look after I didn't think I had the time and/or determination to get it done.

Instead, I find myself with an over-abundance of screenshots waiting to be shared, so I present to you:

International Picture Posting Month

or

#IntPiPoMo

Y'see, a picture is worth a thousand words.  The NaNoWriMo word target is fifty thousand. That means our IntPiPoMo target is fifty pictures, over the thirty days of November.

You're welcome to join in if you're so inclined!

I'm starting a little late already so here's three to catch myself up. Enjoy!
