Get the Look: Additional Resources

While everyone is still busily running old content to gather their armor for Transmogrification purposes, I'd like to gather a list of all the resources I've seen over the last couple of weeks for finding your perfect look.

Firstly, my own posts on leather gear (might as well start with myself):

Perculia of the Wowhead blog has put together an impressive series of posts about Transmogrification for all armor types including:

Here are some other great resources from around the community:

• Harpy's Nest has a list of the nicest looking staves (staffs?) in the game.
• Jod's Blog has put together an awesome post that helps your troll to look like a troll! There's one for each class.
• Disciplinary Action's extensive list of Cloth armor sets. My goodness, there's a lot of information there.
• Disenchanting Azeroth has been looking at weapon and shield models.
• Visual Roleplay Gear List is the site of the moment - an impressive range of armor sets for every class and armor type. 
• A brand new site, World of Wardrobes, is listing lots of different sets for all armor types.
• Kamalia et alia is always fashionable, as is Kirina's Closet. Pay them both a visit for great roleplaying set ideas!
• Cassandri gives some tips on what makes a "set" for mogging purposes at Hots & Dots.
• The Wowhead blog also has a great post about item sets worn by NPCs - great for inspiration, as long as your armor type matches!

Get the Look: Part 5 - Leather Greens

The promised Transmogrification process in patch 4.3 has everyone excited about the prospect of being able to change the way their gear looks. I've put together a few posts exploring some possibilities of old-school leather sets.

1. The twelve Druid tier sets and their recoloured look-alike sets.
2. Other leather dungeon and raid sets.
3. PvP sets.
4. Crafted by leatherworkers.
5. Uncommon (green) sets.


There is an extensive list of green Bind on Equip items available in the game - about 100 leather sets alone, each with between two and nine items.

This post is meant more as a reference than as a list of costumes. For example, I'm not sure whether anyone would choose to Transmogrify their gear to look like the entire Clefthoof set but the Gloves and the Belt are quite a nice blue and might match other gear.

Don't forget your Swashbuckler's Eyepatch if you're going for a piratey look, or keep the sun off your face with the Wanderer's Hat or the Nocturnal Cap. The Scouting set has nice black neutral items to match your outfit.

All pieces listed in this post are BoE. You could try farming them in the areas listed in each Wowhead link, but they may also be available on the Auction House. It will be interesting to see whether green items will now be worth more to sell on the AH than their disenchanting or vendor price.

Some sets share the same model, such as the Pioneer and Inscribed Leather sets. I've grouped items with the same chestpiece models together to show their similarities - often the headpiece or shoulders are different but the chestpiece looks the same.

I've tried to include the different races to show what the armor models look like on each. Where armor is different between male and female models I have included two toons to show the differences.

The list of uncommon sets published on Wowhead recently has been invaluable in putting together this post. I recommend going and checking out the other armor types as well!

Healing Power Auras Update
